Identical twins for Kirghizstan vol-biv team

Identical twins for Claire and Elodie yesterday. 3.5kg and 3.9kg Rise2 wings from Air Design. The gliders are the latest for Air Design in the 3-liner category of superlight gliders. After taking to the skies for the first time yesterday, Elodie and Claire say they are “easy to ground handle, super smooth in the turn, and have an excellent passive safety”. The two girls are really looking forward to flying them in some more challenging conditions now the the wings have arrived.

After a few weeks apart, the girl-team were reunited in Organya to carry out some additionnal training and acro, where the objectives were to put the gliders through further testing with the harness set up they will be using and finalise the details of their forthcoming expedition together.

Claire Mercuriot and Elodie Bobillon are to hike and fly unassisted for 230km along Lake Issyj Kor in the heart of the alpine pastures of Jailoo, Kirghizstan. Flying with Air Design Rise 2 Superlight gliders and Sup’Air Delight 2 harnesses, we will be following their adventure from the 14th July to 7th August.
