SECURITY NOTICE

SUP’AIR

Sup’AIR issues security notice on extraction handles

It has been brought to attention that on the Walibi2 and Evasion2 harnesses from Sup’Air, there may be a problem with the reserve handle. Depending on the direction in which the handle is pulled to extract the reserve perachute, the handle can in some circumstances be hard to release from the velcro housing. Sup’Air say that this could prevent the reserve parachute being extacted correctly.
If you have one of these paragliding harnesses and are in any doubt about the above, please make contact with your local dealer.

The new HIKE lightweight glider from AIRDESIGN, has been certified as either a tandem or a solo glider, with a launch PTV weight of 110-180 for its 38 cells.

[reveal title="Lire plus" open="false" color="grey-lite"]“It’s easy to launch and land characteristics are comparable to the ease and performance of solo wings in the mid EN-B range” say AIR DESIGN.

Its precise handling and responsive feedback through the unsheathed lines means the wing is both fast and agile, and by using both resistant, yet durable materials (Dominico and Porcher Skytex 27 classic II), AIRDESIGN have been able to produce a glider weighing 5.3kg, which is light and small to pack.

WOODY VALLEY / News

WOODY VALLEY Wani Light, a reversible pack harness for Hike & Fly

The new WOODY VALLEY Wani Light is a reversible pack harness  designed for Hike & Fly, weighing 2.6kg and available in one colour.

[reveal title="Read more" open="false" color="grey-lite"]The harness incorporates a classical airbag system, which self-inflates using relative wind.

The Wani Light offers 60% of protection to the pilot even before taking-off. This is achieved using Nitinol, a nickel -itanium wire, both durable and dimensionally stable, which limits the change in shape and volume of the airbag, in the event of an impact.

The WOODY VALLEY Wani Light follows the same sleek design and geometric characteristics as the Wani, but with a less adjustments points in order to retain its light weight.

The rescue parachute pocket on the underside is slightly reduced in size, but large enough to house a lightweight rescue parachute of 3.8kg. The housing of the parachute is simple, in that it comes with its own pocket and handle.

The WOODY VALLEY Wani Light, currently available in size L and XL; The size M will be available soon.
