92yr old Joy Lufthouse flies in Spitfire for the first time since 1945
Joy Lufthouse, 92yrs gets to fly in a Spitfire plane for the fist time in 70years. The plane was used during the second World War and one which she herself used to fly. She was one of the civil pilots who replaced military and who’s mission was to transport goods from one location to another. In a film showed by UK’s BBC television channel on Thursday 7th May, Joy Lofthouse said she was a little apprehensive before taking off but once airborn, was much more at ease.
