Roger takes a dust devil in flight that leads to the clouds

Above Mount Tavor paragliing pilot Roger Bogrash flies into a low-level dust devil and climbs all the way to cloudbase.

Another pilot who was also flying with Roger that day saw the dust devil take off from 300m off the ground and escaped, whilst Roger who was already at altitude, flew straight into the core. Riding the turbulence on his Niviuk Peak 3 with straw and dust in a strong +6.5m/s, he climbs all the way to cloudbase and is afterwards rewarded with beautiful views of Jordan and Israel.

Mount Tabor is a 500m hill rising above the Jezreel Valley about 15km from the coast and the Sea of Galilee in Israel, an area also well-known to kitesurfers.
