See, feel, listen… Sensations of a Pilot

The film, selected for the Aire de Jaén International Film Festival, describes a pilot’s observations and state of mind before taking to the skies. For those who do not fly or have never experienced open-air flight, it is difficult for them to imagine the different senses that come alive whilst we prepare for our flight. With our feet still firmly on the ground the sensations, the sounds, and what we feel are enhanced and we wonder what the air will feel like as we look upwards before that magical moment when our wing fills with air and we are lifted. The soundtrack emphasises these senses and gestures and comes to us as a comforting, familiar melody.
