After the recent release of NIVIUK’s Grand Touring Artik 4, here comes its big sister, the Peak 4.

Designed for outstanding XC performance, NIVIUK say the Peak 4 is a pure bred cross-country wing made for non-stop cross-country flying.

The Peak 4’s DNA stems from the super successful Icepeak6, and although the Peak 4 remains a 2-liner and certified in the EN-D category, Niviuk’s more recent technology (nitinol) has been incorporated to reshape the profile and reduce the glider’s weight. the result is a sorted wing with improved handling and overall performance.

Edith Piaf’s “La vie en rose” can be heard above the heights of Oludeniz, Turkey!

MAYA is a new glider manufacturer in Turkey. The brand has decided to start it’s paragliding history with the commercialisation of a 41 m² EN-B tandem wing, NOMAD, designed for professionals. MAYA say that the glider’s characteristics make it easy to launch and land.

SOL CXC Pro harness used in world distance record

Brazilian brand, SOL, are proud of their home pilots for new distance record!

Recordmen Marcelo Prieto and Donizete Lemos both flew with the latest harness from Brazilian brand SOL, the CXC-Pro, during their record distance flight on 9th October of 515km this year. They launched from Brazil’s Tacima, and covered the distance in 11h20 minutes.

Released in the spring 2015 the SOL CXC Pro was developped with the input from several of the country’s distance pilots, working togeether on the performance and comfort aspects of the harness, to create a product destined for long distance flying.

NOVA says no more creases with the Speedbrake Riser

NOVA’s “Speedbrake Riser” is the first triple-set riser which enables the pilot to hold the glider in an accelerated or decelerated configuration without distorting the profile.

Increased traction on the C’s penalises performance

NOVA admits to not being a huge fan of C-steering handles because they tend to distort the canopy’s surface which as a result, reduces performance. To overcome this, the manufacturer, together with Robert Schaller*, has developped the “Speedbrake Riser”: the B and C risers are connectd by a strap which, when the C’s are shortened in length (pulled), have an immediate effect on the B lines. The result is a perfectly smooth deceleration of the glider without the canopy creasing. The new system promises to bring greater performance to pilots flying cross country.
