Red Bull’s Salzburg is a “first” for Rock the Outdoor

Because ROCK THE OUTDOOR has now become an international magazine, we decided to visit Salzburg, Austria for the Red Bull XAlps weekend.  We were warmly welcomed bu Julia Tolson from Red Bull, who faciliated access to all aspects of the event, and enabled us to report back to our readers on this notoriously tough adventure race.

Red Bull has its headquarters located lakeside at Fuschl am See near Salzburg.  The Press Conference before the race took place in their Hangar 7, a Red Bull building adjacent to the airport, a modern architectural glass structure and home to many of the Red Bull “toys” (aircraft, motorcycles, Formula 1, Skydiver Felix Baumgartner’s Space Capsule…).

We recorded the entire event over the weekend to bring you film and images of the race start from Mozartplatz in Salzburg, to the first turnpoint and launch at the Gaisberg summit.

We’d like to thank the Red Bull organisers for their generous hospitality and to all the Athletes and their Support Teams for sharing so much of their time and emotion with Rock the Outdoor.

Thank you 🙂
