Paragliding pilot dies after falling into crevasse
A pilot of 38 years old from the Chamonix valley was killed last Sunday 20th March by falling into a crevasse in the “La Salle à Manger” sector of the Valley Blanche, some 2600m in altitude. Several witnesses of the incident immediately alerted the rescue team. According to the information gathered from the scene, the pilot ended his flight in a serac area and fell into a crevasse.
