Geti flies only on small coastal sites but what a mastery!
Flying mainly on small sites near his home, Geti has become an expert in ground handling.
Geti has always been fascinated by flight since his childhood, filling this passion at the time with model rc (glider, plane and helicopter) but when he raised his legs for the first time while paragliding above his usual playground, he knew right away that he would become addicted to this sport.
As he lives close to the seashore, he flies only on coastal sites: “I did only 4 hours inland during a 5-day stay a few months ago.” He has accumulated more than 300 hours of flying at the coast and it shows … And the AIR DESIGN Susi mini-glider seems well suited for his practice.
Geti has been paragliding for 2 years, but has started flying more seriously in the last 12 months. Living near coastal sites like Portsea, Cairns Bay & Kilcunda which are all located in Victoria Australia, he currently totals about 300-350 hours.
“Right now, I don’t work, but I m studying part-time, so I have plenty of time to fly. I did only about 4 hours inland on a 5-day trip a few months ago. “
“Right now, I don’t work, but I m studying part-time, so I have plenty of time to fly. I did only about 4 hours inland on a 5-day trip a few months ago. ”
Not being able to fly anywhere near his home, he only makes « flea jumps » or flights on small sites : “I’m sure there are many pilots like me but if I had the opportunity I would be flying every day”
But Geti, the fact that you are not able to fly on big sites near you has allowed you to improve at high speed your mastery of the glider on ground. You now possess an extraordinary mastery, a faculty that few pilots in the “inland” has, then only the bases of piloting begin with there.
Maybe you will have fun flying elsewhere later but will these flights be as entertaining as these little flea jumps near you?
And finally, the only advice we could give you: be careful that your speed bar does not get caught in the fence pickets !
