The safety of free-flight starts on the ground. Incidents often occur from the omission of a pre-flight routine, resulting in some glider pilots being lucky enough to walk away unscathed. But when chance is not on your side, the results can be tragic. Whether you are an experienced pilot or a novice, be sure to review your pre-flight checks regularly.
