BASE jumper or jet fighter, Fred Fugen desribes what it’s all about
French base jumper pilot Fred Fugen explains his passion and the adictive rush of adrenaline felt whilst free-falling through the air, at vertical speeds of 200km/hr.
Finding the perfect vertical cliff to launch from is imperative so that the pilot gathers enough vertical speed to create the pressure needed to steer and glide the body forwards.
Fred goes on to explain that wing suiting and base jumping, although two different sports, both originate from base jumping, and which require a fautlessly meticulous series of pre-flight checks, for which each pilot has his own routine.
