The complex yet beautiful world of sailplanes
For those who dream one day of switching from a Paragliding to a Sail Plane, this video (a little long) shows the enormous potential of these aircraft in terms of obtainable distance and speed, sometimes up to 300km / hr.
Similar to paragliding competitions, but with much greater resources, this video, filmed at the Grand Prix Final in South America, tells us how these gliders fly, the ultimate goal of the race and how, due to the larges distances they can cover, how the pilots are able to appreciate the beautiful and varied landscapes and terrains.
The graphics of the race are an interesting feature during the film, together with a description of how these aircraft will evolve in the future, not only in colour scheme for added visual effect, but also the incorporation of mini television cameras on each wing tip in order to bring back live images of the flights to spectators.
