Théo de Blic rejoint le team GRADIENT

Le jeune pilote Théo de Blic, du haut de ses 21 ans, a déjà derrière lui un beau parcours dans le domaine de la voltige. Volant aux couleurs d’Icaro Paragliders depuis 6 ans, il a décidé de poursuivre son chemin avec Gradient, la marque de son partenaire de voltige Horacio Llorens. Ils réaliseront leur saison 2015 avec la nouvelle Agility qui sera commercialisée prochainement.
Théo, pourquoi ce changement de marque ?
Je pense que je suis arrivé à un point de ma carrière où j’avais besoin de voir autre chose. Après 6 ans chez Icaro, j’avais vraiment envie de découvrir une autre marque et une autre façon de faire. C’est Horacio Llorens qui m’a mis sur la voie de Gradient : on avait déjà parlé de voler pour la même marque et ça n’avait malheureusement pas pu se faire. Cette année, il y a eu une opportunité chez Gradient, on volait déjà en synchro tous les deux, l’Agility marche très bien, c’était l’occasion de tenter l’aventure ! En plus, j’adore ce qu’a fait Gradient ces dernières années et je suis vraiment enthousiaste à l’idée de faire des projets avec Tom (de Dorlodot) et Horacio !
Peux-tu nous en dire plus sur tes projets 2015?
J’ai toujours énormément de projets! Je veux être sûr de ne pas m’ennuyer mais je ne peux pas tous les révéler, ça gâcherait la surprise ! Je vais tout d’abord prendre en main ma nouvelle Agility et travailler dessus avec Horacio pour qu’elle soit prête pour ce printemps. Tout en continuant à travailler sur ma com’ un maximum (sans oublier ROCK THE OUTDOOR!) car c’est vraiment le plus important. Ensuite je pense partir 2 mois à El Hierro aux Canaries avec Horacio pour m’entraîner*, faire des photos etc..
Après tout ça, ça va être le moment de se remettre à la compétition et je vais donc retourner dans mon appartement à Organyà pour me préparer. Puis j’enchaînerai les photoshoots, les démos, Organyà et la France jusqu’en septembre.
Et tes ambitions 2015?
Je nourris pas mal d’ambitions pour le World Tour 2015, je pense que ça sera une très bonne saison. Sinon, j’envisage 2015 dans la même lignée que les autres années : vivre de l’acro c’est génial et je compte bien continuer le plus longtemps possible !

The young french pilot Théo de Blic has already a beautiful way in aerobatic paragliding story. Flying for Icaro Paragliders since 6 years, he decides to go on his career with Gradient, the brand of Horacio Llorens, his aerobatic partner. They realize their 2015 season with the new Agility which will appear soon.
Théo, why this change of brand ?
I think I’ve got into a point in my career where I needed to see something else. After 6 years working with Icaro, I really wanted to discover another brand and a different way of doing things. It was Horacio Llorens who first brought me into Gradient, we had already talked about flying together for the same brand but unfortunately it was not possible at the time. But this year I had this opportunity into Gradient, we had already been flying in synchro together this season, the Agility was working really well, it was the perfect timing to change for something new ! Furthermore I have really liked Gradient’s spirit those past years, and I am really enthusiastic to fly some projects with Tom de Dorlodot and Horacio !
Can you tell us more about your project?
I always have a lot of projects in my mind, I want to make sure I am never bored, I can’t disclose them all or it will be surprise-less ! But first I am going to get to know my Agility and work on it with Horacio so it will be ready as soon as possible. While doing so I will keep on working on my communication (without forget ROCK THE OUTDOOR!) , as it is definitely the most important, even more than flying sometimes… Then I think I am going to go 2months to El Hierro in the Canarias Islands with Horacio to train*, photoshoots …
After that it will be the time to get back into the World Tour season, and so I will be back into my flat in Organyà to train. I will be non-stop between photoshoots, air-show, comps, Organyà and France until September.
And your goals for 2015?
I am quite optimistic about the World Tour 2015, I think it is going to be one hell of a season ! Otherwise I think 2015 will be on the same line than the previous years, living from sponsorship is crazy and I really want to keep doing my job for as long as I can !

Théo de Blic, né le 21 février 1994 à Chambéry, a commencé le parapente à 12 ans. Il est passé professionnel en 2010. Il est le plus jeune membre de l’équipe de France de Voltige Parapente. Il s’illustre brillamment en freestyle, notamment dans les compétitions de voltige avec son partenaire Horacio Llorens (SP). Il est connu pour être un pionnier dans les figures “twistées” en parapente et pour être l’un des plus jeunes pilotes professionnels de son époque.
En 2009, il est le plus jeune pilote à réaliser l’Infinity Tumbling.
En 2013 il s’illustre en réalisant 3 premières mondiales en 3 jours, notamment la première Rythmique Sat twistée ainsi que le premier Infinity Tumbling twisté.
Depuis ses débuts, il a participé à trois saisons de Coupe du Monde de voltige, où il compte 3 podiums. Il a notamment fini 3è de la Coupe du Monde 2014 en Solo ainsi qu’en catégorie Synchro avec son partenaire Horacio Llorens (Espagne) et est également Vice-Champion de France 2014.
